Award-winning 'Retouch' by Kaveh Mazaheri to vie in Italy

Iran award-wining short film 'Retouch' has been accepted to screen at 2018 Orvieto Cinema Fest in Italy.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the short flick is one the 24 films selected out of 254 shorts sent to the festival from 32 countries.

Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, the film narrates the story of a woman grappling with the difficulties of her daily life. She has an unhappy marriage where she must take care of herself, her child and even her idle husband.

She takes revenge on him by taking no action and just watching him die.

The film has been much appreciated internationally and has bagged several awards from international festivals including Shorts TV Award from the 20th Mecal Pro Short Film Festival in Spain.

The second edition of the Orvieto Cinema Fest has started October 4. It will be wrapped up on October 6, 2018.
